I have been in this industry for over 15 years, started when my children were small.  

It all started in 2002 when I met a lady from the United States through purchasing products on Ebay, we got chatting and before you knew it, if she didn't have the item to list that I was after, she would shop for it, doing me an absolute favour.  Hours looking and searching for items that I was after to complete rooms, for example the finishing touches to a bedroom. This lady became my friend, who would source high quality products for my children that were not available in New Zealand.  Every box that arrived was like Christmas, not just any Christmas but a unique experience, that no one else was experiencing, just me in my Santa hat!  Hiding these treasures for the children's special occasions. 

I like items that have a quality and appearance about them that not only catch the eye but make memorable gifts.  Not to mention the newest craze products are always very popular.

My interest in this field started out as a hobby and grew from there.  To be able to acquire the latest items that were unique, modern and stylish, that quickly became the talk of the town.  This is when I realised there was a market and demand for these kinds of products.

Through this process, I was self taught on "key words" (SEO), I put hours and hours into my searches for items and had to get this down to a fine art.   Because of the spade work I did over many years, I can now source items for the customers benefit and have them delivered in a timely manner to your door.

Back in 2002 I didn't have the knowledge or expertise to have an online store, so really just sold and purchased on a small scale, knowing that there was a big market out there, wasn't sure how to tap into the market on a large scale.  

I then started to make reading folders and swimming tog bags.  I sourced the "material" from overseas using for example the most popular characters, or brands that were not available in New Zealand.  So I tested the market in New Zealand, and sure enough this was a winner.  I was not an experienced sewer or anything, just had an idea and put it out there to see if there was a response  and that is how it all started  "I had caught the online bug".  I had never taken a sewing class in my life except for a couple of sewing experiences at school.
